Just finished the wireup and first test. It came alive and looks like the RX is lively but not out it on an antennas yet. ?I should have followed my hunch and investigated the bias pot that looks out of alignment. It is impossible to set the bias to the FET concerned, nothing happens, no increase in current and the FET stays cool. I get output by blowing into mic so other FET is working. Second issue, very low AF output, just enough to hear on headphones but not enough to drive a speaker. I have seen other comments on this and will search the list for solutions. Overall quite pleased but could kick myself for not looking at the blue trim pot before.
