开云体育The ubitx.net website now incorporates a build gallery.? I figure this could be very handy for new constructors to source ideas for enclosures, layout and labelling. It can be found as the last item in the main menu ... I am sure that there are some more fine build examples out
there.? If you want to send me a few photos I will
look to include your ?BITx build in the gallery.? I reserve the
right to not include your build is a bit rough and doesn't meet my

Hello Karl, thanks for your interest. The outside dimensions are 203x144x68 mm, inside 5.5x7.8 in. The PCB slides into grooves in the sides of case, no stand-offs needed. The case is sold on eBay for $20 including shipping from vendor fan-computer. There are complications: the Raduino must be connected via wires (some shielded), the power mosfets are mounted on the top half of the case and connect to the PCB via Small molex connectors. You will want to apply some insulating tape along the sides of the PCB that slide into the grooves. Good luck, Mike N6CMY

the uBitx without rotating the board.?? Box can accept a 6.318" wide board if you use the board slots in the extrusion. the uBitx is just narrow enough to not bother with those slots. Inside height of the Hammond?box is 1.85". Would need to reduce the height of the display somehow, perhaps use long right angle header pins? mounted to the bottom of the main board, a socket strip installed on the Raduino. That brings total height using the standoffs provided with the uBitx down to about 1.75". Just barely fits the inside of the box which is 6.3" long from display to back of the board, no room for the IR510 heatsinks.? But could bolt the IRF510's to the back panel, and they can stay bolted when you pull the board out to work on it. Might use a heavier gauge back panel or attach fins to the outside where the IRF510's get bolted down?to improve heat dissipation. Accessories such as swr meters, Rasberry Pi's with display, speech compressors, cw audio filters could all be mounted to the top cover, which can slide out of the extrusion along with the back panel and main board.? If all wires from that top cover go to one side of? the uBitx board, then after sliding the guts out the cover can be flopped over to fully expose the board. If wires to switches and encoders and volume controls on the front panel are slightly long, then could slide the main board back during disassembly till display unsockets from it,? then lift the front panel and bring it back along with the board, back panel and top cover. So no wires need to be disconnected during disassembly, rig should work outside the case. Wow, meant to be! I need to buy that Hammond, ditch this Jameco case I now have. Adding wires between the IRF510's to the board could work well enough on the lower bands if you don't have trouble with parasitic oscillations.? Upper bands not so good, I'd bet.
