Seriously, this is a clearly suspicious email and no one should click on anything within it.

A link to a "statement" for information on an "account" at a company that doesn't identify itself in the email?

The Chinese (?) characters in the sender is another tip-off...
?
That the email arrived thru the groups.io reflector is another tip-off...

I don't understand what could possibly make anyone want to actually click-through this email?

It isn't hard to see which list member's email was used to send this note, and I expect the list managers will take some appropriate action - mark the sender as moderated, cancel their membership in the group, whatever they deem appropriate.
