Will the zBitX do the JS8Call mode? I woild like to use a weak signal mode to send and receive some data to a friend who will be sailing.

The zBitx will support 3rd party software out of the box, just like the sBitx. Just set the radio to digital mode and run JS8Call software in the background. You will most likely have to use an external HDMI monitor to ensure that the software is displayed properly.
