KOSS SB45

 

Has anyone have any experience using this headset/mic combination? How did you setup the mic/mic gain?

I have not tried these with a Bitx rig, but they work great with both my Icom 7300 and 7100 using a suitable cable adapter to match the rig connection and a PTT connection for a foot switch. ?For those rigs, I don¡¯t have to adjust the mic gain from what I was using with the stock mic. ?Not sure how mic gain could be adjusted on a Bitx; maybe in the firmware??

The USB Headset app in Toolbox should work as it has adjustments for mic gain in the app.

Sorry should have stated before i do not have the USB version but the one with the 2 stereo plug.
 

I used an SB40 with my Yaesu for a while.? When i got a heil, i gave it to my son to use on his ubitx.? ?It was a bit low, it is a dynamic mic after all.? ?In his case, i wound up modifying the mic preamp a bit.? ? ? not sure if it helps w/ your situation but figured i'd mention
