My uBitx v6 is showing a blank white screen, and I've run out of things to troubleshoot.? Can anyone help?
I started out with a stock v6 which worked perfectly, but I decided to make the KB6GMX mods.? While doing the mods I put the raduino inside the metal housing and put in on a shelf.
A few weeks later, the mainboard mods completed, I put the raduino back in its socket, turned it on, and got a blank white screen. Once in a great while I get the default display, but the touch screen doesn't work and it doesn't read the encoder.?
The raduino is still getting 12v from the mainboard and the output of the voltage regulator is 5v.? CLK0, CLK1 and CLK2 all output a signal but the frequency of CLK2 does not vary when turning the encoder.
I reprogrammed the nano with the stock firmware from Farhan's github.? After flashing and verifying the code, I still got the white screen.
Then I replaced the screen with an identical unit, which produced no change.? I then got two new nanos, put the stock firmware on one and the N8ME/VU3GAO on the other.? Neither of them produce anything other than the white screen, although occasionally (with either firmware) I will get the normal screen, but the touch screen doesn't function and the encoder isn't read.
I now have tried 2 different (stock) screens and 3 different nanos with two different firmwares.? As a desperation attempt I reflowed solder joints on the raduino board, which had no effect.
When I turn on the radio it draws 0.18A at first, and after a second it draws a steady 0.38A at 12.0v. I cannot get it to transmit.
Any idea what I should check next, other than getting a SI5351 module and breadboarding it?? TIA
