sBitx unexpectedly shut down

I was listening to my sBitx v3 this afternoon and had it powered from my solar panel / battery system and the sBitx shut down. I measured the voltage into the radio and it was 11.3 volts. Receive current is under 1 amp. My solar charged battery is rated at 35Amps and typically puts out 12.5 volts.? I would not expect the radio to shut down at this voltage, but it did.
The buck regulator was adjusted to 5.2V with an input voltage of 13V from my bench supply. Should I adjust the buck regulator for 5.2 volts at a lower voltage? You guys who operate a lot of portable might have the answer. I do not want to do something stupid here.
Thanks
Barry

The buck regulator will work from 7v to 20v without adjustment. It is best to never touch it. We run in it a little over 5v to avoid the under voltage errors.
