sBitx V3 time settings

When I received my sBitx V3 board last week I transferred it into my existing V2 cabinet and set everything up as I normally would. I set the Localization settings like time zone, wifi country, local, etc. It all looks fine but my clock is one hour ahead, its like it thinks we are on daylight savings time but we are not. Is there somewhere I check to see why its off by a hour. Funny, I never had this problem with my V2 and it was using the same Pi 4b 8gb, so it must be a configuration file somewhere. Any ideas? BTW, I'm in Pacific time zone in the US.

Try this, it worked for me.?

Someone modified the ~/.profile file on the image sent to me with the sBitx.

The last line of the ~/.profile contained the following...
???? TZ=America/Phoenix; Export TZ

Once this line was commented out, all of the times displayed on terminal, desktop, and sBitx are in agreement.

Where do I find this /.profile?

The / would imply the root directory, but I suspect it is the user's home directory.

The period in the first character position in the file name makes it 'invisible', you should be able to 'see' it with an ls -al command ;tgat lists ALL the files in the current directory in LONG format, showing file attributes (owner, group, size, etc).

Hope this helps,

Okay, thanks for the info, with RDG and Ken's help I was able to find and comment out the line mentioned and now the time is correct. Thanks again.

1) sorry about that rogue ¡°/¡°. ?Home directory for sure. ?

2) there must be something about the image being sent out with the V3 radios. ?this TZ export should not be in the sbitx user¡¯s .profile file.?

I believe the solution to?this problem lies at HF Signals. ?Anyone?

I also had the .profile issue on the stock image.? It is easy to fix once you know it is the issue.

Based on a sample of two, with no other link than the stock image, I would agree that a fix is needed at the HFSignals production line.

Another location to check is in the Pi settings. Pi menu > Preferences > Raspberry Pi Configuration. My .profile has no mention of time zones, though it was carried over to V3.01 software from the original V2.

Some V3 radios from HF Signals, included in the .profile, an ¡°export TZ¡± for phoenix Az or other places. This must be removed. ?
