sBitx v3 FT8 Audio #sBitx

When I'm working FT8, on transmit, the audio will override any settings and output the transmit audio quite loudly.? If I turn the audio to 0 in the sBitx interface it will continue to output sound.? Same thing if I change the system audio from raspberian, it will still output sound.? How can I mute the transmit sound on FT8?

I’m having a similar problem. ?When I turn the desktop?volume down it lowers the transmit volume; however shortly thereafter it gets very loud again. ??

Setting the sidetone is possible in CW mode. This also affects FT8 mode.
So first select the CW mode and there the Sidetone value is reduced to the desired value. (I have 2)

Gyuula, that mostly did the trick, but I still hear it making some noise.? Much better than the screaming from before, so that's good.? Seems a bit odd to have that linked to the audio output.

Try to use the device with only one accurate ground. So that there is no ground loop.
