Hi

Please can this group start a discord channel.?
All the tech leaders are starting their own server. It's totally free.

This offers a lot more options for comminucation. Easy to use. As many channels as the owner wants.
Available on the phone easily.

Please consider this for ease of communication for all of us.

Discord is good for real-time interaction, but that's really the only thing we don't have where we are now.

Check out TOADs on discord, they have a BitX section.

I don't think moving the conversation to Discord is a good idea because the group on groups.io is searchable via public search engines which is beneficial to all. Discord is a closed system and I'd hate to see fragmented information in multiple places.

(and yes, I use Discord and am an admin for several servers)

I’ll agree with Discord being a good path / option. It is very hard to find things in an email repository with so many emails in it.?

As a new user (soon to be) of the SbitX, trying to get a handle on what is happening is very difficult. ?Separating out by channel would allow new owners to focus on specific topics such as software updates, using the UI, hardware changes, etc.?

Just my opinion. ?Oh, Discord has been very useful in the 3D printing world. ?

Aside from my "no" vote and recommendation that the group.is best consumed via the web rather as an deprecated "email list"

It looks like there was a discord created but seems the invite link is now dead.??

I'm not really opposed to Discord.? It serves a different purpose than things like groups.io.?
