I concur. I did some research on these things a little while ago. The AC ones use triacs, and they won't work with DC. Some of them won't even work properly with an inductive AC load. I'm guessing

AFAIK, they are triac operated and run on AC. Designed for 250v AC and 2A If used for DC then probably it will latch up and not release (open)!
