Re: RF power chain mods and improvements..
Nick, That's good as then there are two like this.? ?I'm testing mine.?? I have one report of the MPSH10s might be a bit tepid in their power handling. The might work for the predriver and not

Re: RF power chain mods and improvements..
Hi Allison, thanks. My little proto board is from Q90 to the FET pre drivers. See below, the PCB on left side. OK on the -10dBm level. Will use that in any future testing, once i get the 2N4427's etc

Re: RF power chain mods and improvements..
I think they might work.? If you got them smoke them (hopefully not).? I don't have enough 5109s or 4427s to try. Allison

Re: RF power chain mods and improvements..
First off the output of the mixer is anywhere near -6dbm its going to be distorted. I'd expect -10dbm max. The mpsh10s I have not tried as they have not arrived.? I'd expect to have to pair them up

Re: RF power chain mods and improvements..
SS9018, use what every you want.? Its power capability is the pits but for Q90 its ok. We have been through this one once before. For the driver you need a part that can peak around .6A. Allison

That is a much more elegant way of doing what I was thinking with duct tape and bailing wire. http://ubitx.net/2018/03/22/drive-control-2-methods/ Looks like the problem wasn't the idea but my

Re: RF power chain mods and improvements..
Allison, what i am seeing in my 'proto' build of driver stages only, using MPSH10's, is a flat response within 1dB BUT that's with relatively low drive levels using the Rigol at -20dBm input. If I up

I agree that setting the IDE set up to compile and program can be tricky, but once you get a good setup, it works just as smoothly as native Arduino parts. The Pill? I'm using seems to have a Maple
