Re: RFI from uBitx TX after AGC and other mods installed
Alan, when you unplug the AGC board, with the audio and +5 volts still attached, does the feedback remain the same? If so, what happens when you remove the +5 volts from the board (still unplugged)?

Re: Easy, Inexpensive Cooling Fan, Excelway Case
Well, I kinda?am an EE kind of guy, kinda, so I should probably fire myself for not thinking about it in the first place! It was easy enough to find a place for +12V on TX, namely pin 3 on U2.? I

Re: A Breadboard Technique for the uBITX
I did almost the same with my Bitx40 except I used scrap PCB for front and back panels. Also flipped the board mount standoffs upside down, so a screw holds the standoff to the Bitx40 and the threaded

Re: Bad Relay
#ubitx
The K1 relay caused dismay here, so I replaced it with a small DPDT switch.? LEDs on the TX and RX lines provide a visual indication of transceiver mode.? I like this arrangement better than a PTT

A Breadboard Technique for the uBITX
Here's a breadboard technique that might help others.? When my uBITX transceiver kit arrived I had no ideas for a case, so I mounted the board on a piece of plywood and used 1/8-inch clear plastic as

Re: Finished building my uBitX!
Just a suggestion,? but if you adjust the contrast control on the back of the display you can get rid of those dark rectangles and it will be easier to see. -- Lee - N9LO?"I Void Warranties"

Re: RFI from uBitx TX after AGC and other mods installed
Hi Don: In an effort to eliminate the RF getting back into the audio amp I replaced the TX RF output twisted pair between the uBitx board and my PL259 with coax also switched to coax wrapped 5 turns

Re: Finished building my uBitX!
If I made it, I would, but it was purchased from the kind gentlemen at http://cwmorse.us. I don't have the print files myself, and as they're selling 'em, I doubt they're going to put the files on

Many thanks for replies on tight knob
I found that there was a removable insert on the knob, made it a little too loose but built up diameter of encoder rod with insulation tape. Works well. John Vo1jcc.

Re: ubitx code version 4.3 for review, testing
Take a look on Amazon, read the reviews, and then decide if you think it will work for you. Also, you can click on the cover image and look at the TOC and/or some pages if you want. Jack, W8TEE

Re: Easy, Inexpensive Cooling Fan, Excelway Case
Good idea, but I hot glued the fan to the case.? Even cheaper than screws.? I could hot glue a piece of screen to it, too. Besides, my local hardware store wanted 13? for one piece of 3mm nut!?

Re: Easy, Inexpensive Cooling Fan, Excelway Case
You could always go to the hardware store and get some heavy duty screen wire, cut a grill out, and attach it with the same screws you use on the fan. They even make a black screen just for keeping
