Re: #sbitx upgrade kit 2 is on the way #sBitx
First I am very grateful for how Ashaar and Thomas have supported this effort going above and beyond and not asking a penny for the upgrades, thank you. But I do not understand the delay. I have

Re: #sbitx upgrade kit 2 is on the way #sBitx
Hi All, Merry Christmas!? I hope everyone is out of the snow storm in the US. Quick question: Has anyone received their upgrade kit?? I ask because Thomas stated that kits were sent out on 10 Dec.?

Re: Best Source for 5vdc on uBitx v6 #ubitxv6
Hello Doug, I have done the mods that you are looking at on a V6 with a 2.8" Nextion display.? The stock 5volt regulator was used, taking the 5 volts for the S-Meter amp off the encoder pin connector

Ratnabh, It might be RF feedback.? This happened to me with my first uBotx.? The solution was grounding, A common mode choke on the line to the uBitx from the off-center fed dipole to the shack, and

Best Source for 5vdc on uBitx v6 #ubitxv6
I'm working on a few uBitx v6 mods (AGC, S-meter, Nextion, etc.) Most need a source of 5vdc. Some folks are taking 5vdc from the Arduino Nano since I don't think there's any 5vdc on the main board.

A 3d-printer designed test bed for the uBITX
As I port KD8CEC to Raspberry Pi Pico, Teensy, and the newer members of the Nano family (Every, IOT, BLE, RP Connect), I discovered that the shear volume of combinations of processors and LCD far

Re: Re Run Of uBitx Enclosure
Believe the 7" has the same resolutions as the 5". At least when i created the 7" "tft" that looked like the spec in the Nextion editor. Several 5" based designs that were just re-exported for the 7

Re: Re Run Of uBitx Enclosure
Just remember you can not just resize the screen you have to redo the math for the meter sections to display correctly . Else you will have incorrect readings.

Re: Re Run Of uBitx Enclosure
Thanks Peter . Yes last time we missed making the 7 inch display case. Since I already have a 7 inch Nextion so I thought it would be to try a limited run for it . Thanks for your interest. We require

Re: uBitx Keeps Switching Sidebands #ubitx
The WSJT-X program sends a CAT command to put the radio in USB mode as most FT8 activity is on USB. This can be disabled using the Mode setting on the Radio tab of the Settings dialog. -- 73, Mark,

I'd be interested in one of these with 7" Nextion face. It might be worth considering doing a limited run for the 7" buyandisplay displays as they are quite popular with some homebrew projects, if

HC49U crystals look like this. The S version is a short version. As Ashhar mentioned, grounding the case may have little effect on bandwidth. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just make sure you get

Re: uBitx Keeps Switching Sidebands #ubitx
Maybe not an answer, but FT8 on 7074 use USB, not LSB. Maybe is that a reason. WSJT-X set rig to USB.

Aaron, The crystals have four pins of which two can be grounded, you can leave them out as well. I havent noticed much difference either way. - f

uBitx Keeps Switching Sidebands #ubitx
I'm using my uBitx v6 with WSJT-X v2.6.0-rc5. On 40m (7074) I set the rig to LSB. But it keeps switching to USB. Why is that and how can it be avoided? ...doug, K6DRK
