Apparently, The link to the agc download installed an app on my computer that wanted access to my passwords then popped up again after I shut it down.

Hi?Gerard
OK ... That's what I recommend!
The great advantage of this circuit, compared to an attenuator in the antenna input, is that this AGC manages the gain of the second IF and does not

Loris,
look here the pdf file
also look here [email protected] | a little question on AGC ( /g/BITX20/topic/79236220#84902 )
and search the Barry AGC? like that

Hello iz oos,
I did the tests! ... inserting the ND6T attenuator into the ?BITX is tantamount to committing suicide!
I have a ?BITX # 6 that works very well even with very low signals (S1 and S2)

Hello,
Read the article carefully
There have been some malfunctions on this mount.
If you want to redo the circuit with Kicad, t he whole layout of the components and the ground must be reviewed. The

Loris, you are right! 50% of loss is a lot! If I used 500w, I wouldn't like
to loose half of the power warming the climate... But 3db in RX is usually
negligible and I find the ubitx (I have ver.3)

Re: Help for an appliance operator
The vtvm of Antunio is very precise. If someone can take a stab at it, it
could well measure the Audio RMS, something that only bench quality Fluke
meters do.

Bill
FET input op-amps are a good idea because the gain can be set precisely
in the feedback loop part of things. Could turn out to be better than the
original tube design.

Re: Help for an appliance operator
Hi,
I have a "solid state VTVM" factory built as you suggest. It has FETs and diodes. Another project I have in mind for a VTVM with an open power transformer is replacement of the vacuum tube

Re: Help for an appliance operator
It takes a bit of re-engineering but it is possible to replace
the tubes in a VTVM with solid state diodes and MOSFETs.
lowering the supply voltage seems to be the most difficult

Re: Help for an appliance operator
Hi Bob,
I have some that still do. A statement that suggests a VTVM is a DVM with vacuum tubes is so far off. I have VTVMs AND DVMs. Each has it's place.

Since the uBITX is mostly public domain it does sound reasonable
for the schematic to be available in user editable format. Problem
is if the as-built schematic is opened for public editing it
