Re: Cw Finals seem very warm and power output lower
A one inch fan moves enough air over those heat sinks, anything bigger is a waste as the air just bypasses the sinks. At work, we cool a lot more than those puny heat sinks with one 1 inch fan . There

A 1 inch fan wouldn't move much air.? Try something a little bigger. 73 VE4GKS Sent by the Thunderbird

Re: Cw Finals seem very warm and power output lower
A small 1inch fan might be all you need. You can slow it down to a point where it doesn't makes irritating noise since all you need is a slight breeze not a hurricane.

Re: Cw Finals seem very warm and power output lower
Chuck Reminds me of discovering the hot regulator on the arguing board thinking I had damaged it. As Bill suggests, 15 seconds of ft8 twice a minute is more punishing than cw or ssb. While some may

Re: MPJA Specials
I know it's not so easy for some to order items from the USA as it is not always easy to simply order up something from overseas, HF Signals and the V6 being an exception. Radiodity is also an

Good evening Bob Thanks for the reply, like you items of interest are filed for future ref. Other mails of no interest (MPJA in this instance) are simply deleted. Frankly nothing is simpler ? Life

Re: Firmware questions
Jack and others, I have a actual Raduino replacement kit available for the V6 that is designed specifically for the Teensy 4.1 and uses your original display. The teensy 4.1 plugs into the back side

Max I did have it connect to a dummy load after I noticed the heat building and it seems just as warm running it on the dummy load. I am not a electrical handy person. Where do you measure the current

Re: Firmware questions
I don't think you'll find one that's an exact match. I think Jim Sheldon, W0EB, made some kind of PCB that allowed a Teensy to plug into a Nano socket, but I'm not sure. Jack, W8TEE
