ubitx v2 using speaker-mic - brief feedback when hit PTT
My homebrew ubitx project is based on the v2 design (so it's very similar around the audio stages except for a couple of added components to enable a "one wire" electret mic hookup). I tried using a

Re: pop click pop on tuning BITX40
John, is this a BitX40 or a ubitx? If Bitx40, which software version is installed (version number shown on the LCD at power on)? If it's still the original v1.01 software, upgrading to the latest

Bill, I've finally had a chance to get on my laptop. For the 20x4 display, these are the relevant files from the CEC v1.2 binaries. UBITXV5_CEC_Vxxxxx_20P.hex : 20x04 Parallel

Re: pop click pop on tuning BITX40
Thanks David and Dexter for your good effort and time. Unfortunately nothing seems to work and I do not understand why the good souls at HFSignals do not fix this since it seem to be a well know

Download the v1.2 binaries and read the document on file naming conventions to find the 20x4 file you need to flash.

Farhan, I just re read the limited instructions on the Antuino and it only addresses the ¡°return loss¡± calibration. You left out a sentence about the ¡°frequency calibration¡±. No where does

uBitx v5 plus Amateur Radio Kits case for sale #ubitx
Hi all, I have a uBitx transceiver kit with the gray Amateur Radio Kits case. This was just purchased a couple weeks ago. I just have too many projects and too much travel going on right now to build

Re: pop click pop on tuning BITX40
Known problem since Bitx40. The Arduino takes? more current to make its change, creating a current spike on the power rail. The cure is to absorb some of the power drop in the Raduino's 5V regulator

Re: pop click pop on tuning BITX40
Try using an RC filter for the power line to the raduino. I did it with 2 of mine, worked solid on one and the other it toned it down for sure. -- David N8DAH Kit-Projects.com (

Re: Antuino and SWR
HI Ashhar, I was able to get reasonable SWR values after calibrating the frequency using an ancient but apparently still fairly accurate Fluke frequency counter (hamfest find a few years back.)? I

pop click pop on tuning BITX40
Is it a pop or a click? whatever it is it sounds like an AK45, VERY loud. :( It pops (clicks) every time you tune a frequency and a digit changes in the display. Apparently my software Version is V5
