Re: My future BITX20 case and extras
The cases I want are to be able to do custom rigs.
I figure out what I need to fit the boards I'll be using.
What is right for some is not always right for another.
What I have chosen gives me

My future BITX20 case and extras

Let state, first, I bought a BITX40, the slightly older version from

Reports of low audio are numerous.? But explore to find what's happening. The cw sidetone should be quite loud in headphones. That will point us to something else. If bfo is way off,? not much

Perhaps , nothing is needed, being a QRP.
Many people might prefer to reduce power out to 1 or 5 watts and use
external Liner, instead.

Regulator remedy #2. Swap the outside pins on the board and the thing now lays flat to the inside on the board and out of the way.

Heatsink temperature of IRF510s

Just waiting for my uBitX V5 to arrive and wondering how hot the IRF510s in the PA might get under normal operating (transmitting) conditions. I am thinking of putting an LM35 temperature sensor on

Re: How to get 5W on 10m?
IZ,
There is no trick, the amp itself is the same so getting 5W is a matter of fixing
the problems there. Those being 3904s have far less gain at 28mhz than is needed.
As a result most uBitx run

Re: replacing raduino v5 into older v4 bitx
Why would you need a new Raduino to fix low audio?
IF the unit is miscalibrated that might cause that,? then do factory reset and try again.
A new Raduino with the new firmware will not fix that and

Re: Looking for file archive for ubitx v3 (build instructions, etc.)
First V3 by all I've followed is the same as V4 and mostly V5.
None of those will match yours as they use a 45mhz crystal filter.
If yours uses all coils for the 45mhz filter then its V1 or V2 or

Looks like that regulator still sticks out like a sore thumb on the raduino and the si5351 is not on the mother board where it really belongs. However getting the spur/harmonic issues resolved is a

Looking for file archive for ubitx v3 (build instructions, etc.)
I have built a couple of homebrew versions of ubitx v3 (these have 45 MHz IF composed of three toroids L5-L6-L7.) One is working, the other has poor behavior that I've tracked down to the vicinity of

For anyone in UK or even Europe, I still have a lot of these inductors left.
If anyone wants a few I can do them at 10 for ?1 (UK) or 2 Euro (Europe) including shipping.

Re: update uBITX V3 to V4

Hardware is more cumbersome to update than software. Also, the differences between v3 and v4 aren't huge. Mainly a different audio amp, I think. If your v3 is working, that is great.
