Re: Keypad for Raduino...?
That whole idea of using voltage to determine keyer state makes me nervous. Even something as simple as corrosion on the contacts can make a difference. Take Field Day. Some CW operators bring their

Re: RFI from uBitx TX after AGC and other mods installed
Hi Don: I mounted my K5BCQkit? board as shown in Kees photos. AGC appears to work. I do not have an O scope. Alan

Re: Keypad for Raduino...?
Jack I did consider that approach, but my original intent was to use the minimum number of Arduino pins that could still support desired functionality. This should open up pins for doing much more

Re: RFI from uBitx TX after AGC and other mods installed
Alan, How did you mount yours audio gating board? Where did you ground it? And are we talking about the K5BCQ kit on yours, too? Since it is not distorted I would almost bet that Q3 isn't turning off.

Re: Raduino consumption #ubitx #radiuno
It seems the easiest method I've heard anyone use I refer to as the RCA method. It's what the techs at the RCA service centers used when they had to replace modules on the TacTec hand helds. Cut the

Re: Keypad for Raduino...?
Mark N1VQW I built a similar SNA, but control it via USB/tty link from a Raspberry-Pi. The keypad idea of using a single ADC input to decode keystrokes seems intriguing to me. This morning I set up

Re: I need a V3 or V4 uBitx board.
Hi Joel, can you tell me the number designations on the relays that you keep in supply. I may have to make a swap out on my uBitX board. Thanks Guy N7BIR

Don: I have a similar problem only I have not installed the RF gain control. On SSB phone transmit my voice comes out of the speaker loud and clear. I find it strange the audio amp / speaker are not

Re: Topic change
Allison you wrote earlier that, if Q90 was changed to a BFR106, R81 (1kO) needs to be changed to somewhing between 2K-2,7kO. Is this correct? Also, if C81 was changed to 470pF, do C261 and C262 also

Re: I need a V3 or V4 uBitx board.
Michael, Thanks, I¡¯ll give it a try as it is particularly bad on the SB. When I use a LM386 I usually build VK3YE¡¯s version which has some good gain but tends to be more quiet. Steve pretty much

Re: I need a V3 or V4 uBitx board.
Joel : Try putting a .01 uF cap in series with a 1.8K Ohm resistor between pins 1 & 5 of the LM386 on your "Slop Bucket". That should get rid of most of the high frequency hiss on the LM386 without

Well, Steve ain't a gonna offer it unless there's sufficient interest. Perhaps the Incas were onto something: ? ??https://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/05/080512-inca-skulls.html Jerry

Hi Jack, Steve only kitted 50 SB's, (they are all gone), however he asked the group last week if we all thought he should order another batch only 40 meter version, I voted yes. We'll see? what

Re: I need a V3 or V4 uBitx board.
I think groups.io is your best bet. Steve has a poll going now, asking if there is interest in a new run of boards. If you want one you should join the group and respond to that. I may jump in there

Re: RFI from uBitx TX after AGC and other mods installed
Rowland, Check to see if the ground at the center of your new receive RF point is good when the board is unplugged. If it is, then unplug the AGC board and jumper the two outer pins of that RF tap. It

Re: Keypad for Raduino...?
Hi Jack. The "electronic code lock" keypad approach works great if you have lots of I/O pins available. But where I was using an UNO, I was quickly running out of I/O pins. So by using the analog

Re: Keypad for Raduino...?
I don't think I'd use an analog approach to it. I'd use something like: (https://circuitdigest.com/sites/default/files/circuitdiagram_mic/Electronic-Code-Lock-Circuit.gif) You can find code at:
