Why not make a unique open source project like uBitx for a 2M transverter?? From what i've read a tranceiver it's too expensive or complex to build but transverters seems more accessible.

I have changed just R63 so now it is 24 ohm (I added 2 ordinary 100ohms resistors in parallel) as suggested. I confirm it increases the average power to the right level given the stock mic element.

Dual gate mosfets are still a way to go as preamp.? But we are talking a Bitx on two and there are no others spots for them. There are various amp modules most have drive requirements of 50mW or more
