Re: Help with VFO and BFO frequencies
We need more information, what radio and what firmware are you using?
Also you needed to start a new subject line for your question and not use an unrelated topic line it keeps down the confusion.

Re: show your mic
Max,
From board to board there will always be some variation of gain.
You can increasing the mic gain by reducing the resistor
BITX40 - R123
uBITX - R63
You could try the mic gain control I

Max,
please check whether the mic body is connected to chasis ground.
i mean the positive bias voltage for mic should come on independent pin and

Re: show your mic
Here is my minimalist microphone.
Surprisingly, the PTT button works through the heat shrink tubing. So, I did not cut an opening to expose it - the button is "weatherproofed".

Re: Transmitter Mods
Yes, if you redesigned the PA of the uBITx to match the design criterion of the WA2EBY amp, you might get his results¡

Re: Hyderabox!
Yes Ken it was a tongue in cheek comment. Although it is a good box for the uBITX and true there is a lot of room to add accessories inside. That handle is convenient for a grab and go rig too.

Re: KD8CEC 1.072 download
The way Ian packages his IDC code is a bit problematic because when you unpack it¡ it over-writes his old code in the Arduino IDC. Simply including the VERSION NUMBER in the file name/ directory

I think you are right Tim, the tuner is acting as a filter.
