Ok, great. Next, you might check the polarity on that electret microphone. If you didn't build it yourself from the supplied parts check it anyway. Make sure the + terminal of the mic goes to the mic

Perhaps you are thinking of this SWR Bridge? It is apparently good for up to 100W, intermittent use.

Jim - thank you - I validated the antenna wiring and it appears good.? I'm also seeing good output on CW (as opposed to SSB voice), so I think that proves out the antenna connection.

The MAX9814 Chip. As commented the gain should be set between the second and third stage not after to prevent to reduce noise and the chip has a very well filtered BIAS supply for the Electret Mic so

Jack, Don't think they are "detent-less", not stated in the description, but because they are cheap, 10 qty, not afraid to unbend the top shaft retention tangs and remove the detent spring as per

Re: Auto tuner update
I have and use the qrp-labs LPFs I wouldn't dare go over 10W (and that's pushing it) They are rated for 5w, I don't know where or why anyone would think 100W would be acceptable.

The MAX9814 could work well But be aware that while the AGC will reduce gain when your audio level gets too high, it will also increase gain when there is nothing but background noise. So during
