Re: Implement a uBITX Memory Manager Program
That's ok. Just putting it out there.? For myself I'm going to be working with an ESP32 device anyway.

Usually arrives within a month, but can take longer.
Here's one that took 2 months:

Bearing in mind the time of year (Christmas + holidays + New Year) and the fact that item was
mailed 12 Dec........give it a chance before you start doing a War Dance!!

Re: how to set bfo
Rod,
When in SETUP keep turning the knob clockwise and finally BFO Set will
appear. It always starts at the same default frequency (this should be
fixed and display the current frequency setting)

Re: Amplifier Kit?
The biggest problem to adding an amp to the uBitx is the fact that it's
using the IRF510's as the output amplifier, and the output power is not
consistent. I've thought about adding my 50W amplifier

Re: Implement a uBITX Memory Manager Program
If you are wondering about RTOS, I think RTOS should be monitoring most
interrupts as much as possible.
However, the questioner is curious about the timeout. Timeouts will only
occur in the original

Re: Amplifier Kit?
I'm a total novice with electronics, so I'm not sure whether I could effectively make this mod.? I'm just thinking that a 50 watt or 100 watt amp would be an awesome addition to the uBitx.

Re: Code snipits
Ron:
You can put any files in Git that you like. There's not a sketch
configurator that you can pick and choose modules to include in a sketch.
You could code in a bunch of conditional compilation

Re: Amplifier Kit?
Yep pretty much as Neil N0FN has said.
?
On the schem R8,R9 and R10 are a pad for the input (remember to cut the trace at R9 if you install the pad). I am running the bitx40 with a 5w pad

Re: My ?BITX in its new home
I have not used this method but people use alcohol water mixtures to remove hot glue. But it appears that not all hot glue is the same material. It is not an immediate softening. It does not mix

I had a problem with the wires to?the audio pot on my Bitx - no twisting or braiding got rid of interference, but once I used a shielded audio cable, the receiver started to behave. I live a mile and

Re: Amplifier Kit?
A 7dB (5x) resistive pad on the amplifier input should reduce the input
power sufficiently. Alternately, you could adjust the bias current on your
uBitx so that it only puts out 1W.

Re: Amplifier Kit?
Sorry for the newbie question, but the WA2EBY kit is for 1W drive, won't
that splatter like crazy with 5-10W from a uBitx? Or how would an operator
decrease the uBitx output power that low to let the

Only ones I know of are the Hardrock-50, HFpacker and the WA2EBY. All but the last one are total kits and cost 300+

I hope this isn¡¯t too far off-topic to ask here. ?I¡¯ve looked for an amplifier kit similar to the Bitx radio. ?Does anyone here know of such a kit? ?

Re: Trouble With Alternate Audio Inputs (BITX40 Module)
Do you have something to detect the presence of radio frequency energy?
A general purpose communications receiver would do fine for this. Just tune it to the various places that energy should show up

Re: Code snipits
Guess I am confused about git!
You make it sound like git is a collection of independent routines
that do functions and you get to select the functions you want toinclude in your sketch.
I thought
