Re: Variable power control
I'd second variable power, and perhaps a 50 ohm 50 milliwatt pickoff point and/ or mode for driving transverters. ? HNY Scott ka9p - first uBITX QSO yesterday - very nice :)

Re: Variable power control
Just an idea, how about a variable voltage regulator on the PA power input? I have not tried this, it's just an idea. Variable voltage from 24v down to say about 10v? Marco - KG5PRT

Variable power control
I'd love it if I could add a variable control to adjust output power on the uBitx. ?After looking for solutions, I understand now that it's not a simple add of a potentiometer. ?Anyone done this

Power output decreases as a function of frequency?
#bitx40
John, Just a thought. Desolder one end of L1,L2 and L3 and unwind ONE turn but do not cut the extra wire. Solder the ends and then try. You can put that one turn back if it does not work.. The filter

Re: Tell me your favorite uBitx mods
Dave, I agree with many of your points, very specifically, the AGC. I tried listening in with my uBitx once I got the case wired up, and then promptly had my ears blown off by a nearby static pop or

Re: Wiring volume control
You are correct. The Orange Wire goes to the Wiper. Otherwise the volume control works very weird. Dave WI6R -- 73 Dave WI6R

Re: Tell me your favorite uBitx mods
Oooh, I like that idea John. Would be easy enough to do too. Two power inputs, one 7 or 8V minimum for the logic and/or amp power, and a second dedicated power level supply. Easy enough to do with two

Kent, Looks Nice! What a great idea 3D printing knobs! Did you use a press in metal insert for the set screw, or make it push on the half shaft? Dave WI6R wrote: -- 73 Dave WI6R
