Re: Help! I think I may have just ruined my 9 year old's Chanukah
The LM386 will be putting out well under 1 Watt at max volume.
Generally speaking, a bigger speaker will be more efficient and sound better.
The acoustics of the enclosure can make a big difference

Re: Help! I think I may have just ruined my 9 year old's Chanukah
So just a resistor between the wire and the middle leg of the volume control? Ok....that won't be hard. I have a couple of 1k ohm resistors left over from building that dummy load. I've noticed the

Re: CAT control of the bitx frequency
John W5NNH
Some of us have already been discussing this off-net. It seems possible to
do direct
hamlib-to-BITX code, but having an abstraction layer between probably makes
things
more flexible.

Re: ubitx AGC?
Have others tried the original uBitx audio AGC circuit? Looks like it would be simple to add on a small perf board with selectable FAST/SLOW front panel switch using different values for C70 /

Re: How to deal with Broadcast FM QRM
Have you tried a BCI filter? I built this one to kill a nearby AM station on my Forty-9er (March, 2016, QST):
It has a small insertion loss and knocked the slats out of my BCI problems. I used

Re: how can I order ubitx raduino?
Ashhar has told us he is updating the hgsignals.com website so you can order the raduino separately again.? The nano has always been soldered to the board.

Re: how can I order ubitx raduino?
Yeah!? That would be really nice if I could order a complete spare raduino (minus the display would be okay as I have a number of them on hand).? That would allow experimenting with the code safely

I must have been wrong, Thank you Jerry.
I thought, when I updated the firmware on my Bitx40 I only brought the Nano
upstairs to my computer.
Well, I still would like to understand or order another

It always has been, mine was built a year ago and came soldered down.
Could be argued that it is more reliable that way.

Re: how can I order ubitx raduino?
I would like to know how to order an extra Raduino board with Si5351,
Arduino Nano. Fully tested for a back-up on my uBitx.
Now that the Arduino Nano is soldered to the expansion/connection board.

Thanks very much for those corrections Jerry! When on 80, I use a very nice 80 m lpf on output.
I had some dyslexia with that integrated circuit number.
