Re: ubitx AGC?
This is a good question, but I think that the answer is No at the moment, in the schematic description on hfsignals site i can read? some tipa :"AGC as audio" in second channel of tda2822 and an IF

Re: ubitx AGC?
Search for AGC in this forum and you will see lots and lots of schemes to implement it.
The thread I pointed to is just part of a discussion, I think somebody renamed the thread and?

Re: BITX QSO Night, Sunday, December 10, 7pm Local Time, 7277 kHz in North America, 7177 kHz elsewhere
Was on at 3PM. Nothing heard! I'll try again at 7PM.
Meanwhile, my logging program lost all my data. If possible, could anyone I've worked in the past few months; particularly bitX to bitX send me

Re: ubitx AGC?
No AGC on the production uBitx.
The original schematic for the uBitx here: ?http://www.phonestack.com/farhan/ubitx/ubitx.html
shows the second half of the TDA2822 used as an AGC amp, attenuating the

Hi Rob
Thanks for rolling up all that AA information. I'll read these over and try to digest them. I vaguely remember some of the conversations but I think I'm getting to max saturation. Got so many

If so could it be adjusted, with a panel mounted pot.

ubitx AGC?
Hi,
Does the uBitx have AGC? It was discussed in some of the previous threads, but the website only has this comment: "The audio amplifier uses one section of the TDA2822 – a quieter device

Re: Reverse polarity diode circuit
All:
The good news: I just ordered a mega-munch of 3A, 30V polyfuses that I'd be happy to share for $1, including domestic shipping. The bad news: They're coming from China, so will likely be several

Re: ubitx circuit, wiring, source code on github
The Raduino is actually a Nano and some warnings can be ignored (e.g., those associated with EEPROM). If you're getting errors, my guess is they are associated with libraries of some sort. Some

Re: Reverse polarity diode circuit
Yup, a Polyfuse works great.
Can add a resistor and red LED across it as an idiot light so you know when to ?execute the dope-slap.
(Can also do that for a fuse)
Though Farhan is looking for stuff

Re: Reverse polarity diode circuit
Agreed! One should always fuse anyway. My favorite is the Polyfuse. Self-resetting, cheap, small, and easy to mount. Never be at loss for a replacement. Used them for years. Never lost one, never lost

Re: ubitx circuit, wiring, source code on github
What version of Arduino do you use to compile the code on the new website? I have ordered the new BitX and getting ready I downloaded the code and get all kinds of warnings when I compile.

Re: ubitx is available for $109, there are a3 catches
It's pretty easy to find a PFET that can handle a Vgs of 20v
So a circuit like this would work fine for the main rig without the zener trick,
leave the IRF510's to their own devices.

That sort of thing can work, but I'm not sure about "best" in this case.
First off, it's not at all obvious how the heck it works. ?And I think it is drawn incorrectly.
I believe the source should

Re: ubitx is available for $109, there are a3 catches
Having reverse polarity protection OUTSIDE the box is poor engineering practice. Power cables can and do get lost.
In addition, let’s say the rig has a polarized plug so it cannot be reversed. What

The MOSFET solution looks good. I will try that. Power MOSFETs are not
very expensive.
Should be interesting to smoke-test the protection circuit. 8-)
