Re: good news / Bad news
To the group: just to let you know that things are coming along. What I thought was a lack of sensitivity was just an out-of-band experience (out-of-body?) After I replaced my caps with NP0 caps, it

Re: Bitx40 review (video)
Those who have used an Si5351 to supply both the VFO signal and the BFO signal; I am wondering where you would inject the DDS BFO signal into the BITX40 board. The existing BFO osc could be easily

Re: Bitx 40 board.
Thank you, Ken. Glad it helped. You know, you can get USB and LSB through the same Cohn filter. Remember that the filter is a passband filter about 3 kHz wide with an upper and lower skirt. For

Re: Bitx40 SI5351 drive strength
I checked the drive at the DDS input and found it to be 1vpp. (from internal VCO) I did this because I plan to add a DDS also and have a few. I have 2 of the N3ZI ver.1 DDS and 2 homebrew Uno>9850.

Frequency counter and huff n puff using Pic
I happened to be working on an MKARS80 which is a variant on the BitX. I realised that this rig uses a Pic 16f818 as a frequency counter with LCD readout and it generates a huff n puff voltage. If

Note about using si5351
