Re: ?Bitx concept as a pure receiver
We can use Ian Lee's firmware for 1602 Display or Nextion Display .
There are other firmwares but I have not tried any of them as yet .

The fact that the SIDETONE is loud -- is a clue. Look and see where it
gets injected into the system. Since everything after that is working,
the problem is BEFORE where the sidetone gets

Re: uBITX v6 Low Audio Update 11-24-24 11:45 AM
Have you tried replaceing the volume pot.... sure seems like its something
close in there where you are poking it around, and a major symptom seen to
be an inntermitant thing like a loose connection

Re: uBITX v6 Low Audio Update 11-24-24 11:45 AM
Hi Richard,
If the dial frequency is off, then do the full calibration steps in the video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6LGXhS4_O8
This will also help with receiver sensitivity.

Thank you guys, a brief update, and I'll summarize later into one message. But for now based on new suggestions:
Probing, flexing the board, touching diodes, other components, BNC connector, etc.,

Re: Specan Revisited Noise floor
I shielded the 100 MHz oscillator and this reduced all noise issues. ?The oscillator is as spraying into the power lines.

Re: ?Bitx concept as a pure receiver
Hello
The version whether 3.0 or 6.0 would be the same to me.
The frequency of the 2nd IF was changed once and the AF part.
I would definitely try this
as a double super with two conversions to
45Mhz

Re: uBITX v6 Low Audio Update 11-23-24
Hi Richard,
Have you checked your antenna cables?? ?It could be you have an intermittent connection on the BNC cable.? Try wiggling the BNC connection.

Re: ?Bitx concept as a pure receiver
Are you planning on the V4 or V6?
Do you plan for a waterfall display?
As it is uBITX, I presume that it will not be an upconverting superhet like
sBITX?

Re: ?Bitx concept as a pure receiver
We are in process of bringing out a receiver kit with ubitx design .
It will have AM included . It will be a good standalone receiver.
Any suggestions welcome.
Best regards

Re: uBITX v6 Low Audio Update 11-23-24
Richard,
D3 & D4 are together and D5 is a bachelor elsewhere!
In another board there was a broken 10 ohm resistor on the BiDi Rx amp stage.
Good luck.

on his uBITX loud and clear. But when I
