What is the relationship between default_hw_settings.ini, default _settings, hw_settings.ini and he_settings_v3.ini?? I have V2 sBitx running JJs v3.025.
Trying to figure it out.? My power out

Thanks Mike, that's very similar to what I've got drawn up. I have an idea for how to add it to the radio, gimme a bit more time and I'll post on the discord and here to see if anyone is

Jeff, have you seen Gordon Gibby's notes on a project he did with reverse polarity protection?

Morning all,
So I have 2 virtual machines withthe code for 2m and 6m.
As my code is opensource and for hams to use I would like feedback .
I tried to keep the code small and clean. as the first

Has anybody tried the "ideal diodes" Andreas is describing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tQHjUYKQwI ?
So far I am relying on my Anderson power poles being soldered correctly. :-)

I didn't build the ATU inside the sBitx.? A degree of separation is a good thing diagnostically.? I put a 10" monitor on, the battery use is worth it to my 70 y/o eyes.
I'm enjoying this very

I've been playing around with a PCB design that uses a mosfet for reverse polarity protection. Diodes burn a decent amount of power, this mosfet is significantly less. It also has over volt

This code will also work on the raspi pico, went to a fast mcu for better perfomance,

Richard,
I just found time to put the circuits together. I am more like a magazine
editor than a writer. Plus, my business experience has allowed us to
assemble a very low cost radio manufacturing

Another approach which I have not seen proposed is to
switch the power to the radio with a relay with
contacts of suitable current handling.
The relay coil is fed by a diode so only comes in

The comparable radio with the Xeigu is the ubitx. It is completely usable

Re: Production zBitx

It is an odd thing though, the Elecraft KH1 is a CW only radio, selling for
600 USD. Not really, if you add all the essentials, it stacks upto 1000
USD. Yet, they sell about 3000 radios per month.

Re: Production zBitx

I think the crowdfund could be the best way to check demand (for the assembled units).
Set up a goal of 20,000$ (200$? * 100) and see what happens.
If the goal is not reached the money gets back, no
