I would like to get a project enclosure and have a cable out the back for the microphone cable on the radio. Have 2 jacks, one for the electrict microphone and the other for PTT. It would be nice to

Re: FS Sbitx V2. (No Pi)
You can certainly use an amplified CB mic. I’ve done that with Heathkit vacuum tube transmitters successfully. However, it’s probably considerably cheaper to just use the element that I found

Aaron beat me to it. A Mic with a preamp or I had co sidered just building
a simple amplifier circuit with an adjustable gain pot and wiring it
between the mic input and the circuit board. Either of

Rose, I’ve never tried the side tone for voice. I don’t know anything about that
If I crank the mic gain up as high as you were saying, I’ll have terrible distortion. With the stock Mike

Yes, that is what Farhan does to get the mikes for the hFSignals supplied radios.

Mark, I've been looking at all the work you've done in your sbitx-n8me repository at GitHub. You are doing a really great walk-through review and cleanup of the source. I can't keep up with you, but

Hey Evan, could you publish some of the results you’ve gotten from your developer edition for a comparison? Maybe figure out what is the worst band, and show how good even that still looks?

I am REALLY happy with my -24DB cartridge homemade Mike. The Sbitx needs a good bit of audio signal input. I think this is a great chance for a cottage industry to develop selling these mics and

Re: sBitx V2 SN #141 Spurious/Harmonic Measurements
Thanks Evan. Yes we need confirmation. One way or the other. Either I’m doing something wrong, or my unit is a complete fluke, or there’s a problem!
I’m not sure why anyone would bother

I am also using VS Code with the git, remote-ssh, and C language extensions. Works great.

I saw this one too, but I'm not sure it would work on the uBitx, because the mic for the uBitx has only three connections on the plug rather than four.? I think the difference is that the uBitx mic

Re: sBitx V2 SN #141 Spurious/Harmonic Measurements
Gordon,
If it is passed through on the bias circuit, would adding some capacitors help?? Every connection of the bias to the LPF circuit may need to be bypassed.
This might mess up the filters
