Re: uBitX v6: Essential Mods?
Hi Greg
I have modified several V6s and I agree with Evan about the firmware. ?I use the little BCI kit from qrpme.com, either internally by cutting a trace (my mod for that can be found on

Re: SBITX V2 - EXTERNAL MONITOR - SIZE ISSUE
Another option is creating a shell script to do all the commands.? I created a str_sbitx.sh with the commands and made it executable.? I can then type ./str_sbitx.sh when in the pi folder where the

Re: SBITX V2 - EXTERNAL MONITOR - SIZE ISSUE
There is likely a way to do it in an xorg.conf file somewhere, but it would involve dissecting the Xorg configuration sequence to determine 'when' (during the configuration/setup of the Xorg

Re: uBitX v6: Essential Mods?

Re: No transmitting power, reception ok.

Re: No transmitting power, reception ok.
Thanks Evan and Andi for your hints :)
First I tried Evans tipps. Reception was ok, but I will remember to check the reception path when I blow up the finals next time.

Yes I checked the connections as well as I could. I will do another alignment and we will see how that goes. I will keep you advised.

Re: Sbitx software not starting
Steve,
Bingo. Pulled the RTC module and it boots up. Re-inserted the module and all is good.
Thanks so much, it sometimes takes an extra pair of eyes or a brain to get things solved these days.

Re: Sbitx software not starting
I believe the V2 uses a plug-in RTC module. Make sure the RTC module is fully plugged in and seated.

Re: Sbitx software not starting
Hank - an I2C bus issue can certainly hang the sbitx application.
Did you install the RTC module in your unit? If so, the wiring may have gotten bumped causing a short.
If you can share more

Hank - sometimes this problem fixes itself with a power-down and reboot.
If that doesn't work after a few attempts, try starting the sbitx application from the command line - which will provide some
