Gerard, On your "tandem match" your single turn (through wires) are the larger wire.? I put the large magnet wire through a piece of insulation from a 14 ga wire to make this.? On the smaller wire

HEX file for the S-meter Arduino
I've been?looking for the HEX file for the DSP Arduino for the S-meter. I've read through the links http://www.hamskey.com/2018/07/standalone-signal-analyzer-i2c-type.html and

Re: Many uBitx's have reduced power on 40m CW
All, I did confirm the same CW mwaveform issues at TP1 on my v4 ?BITX.? Since it is a spare and not assembled into a nice case I will use it to hunt down the possible issues with the 40meter CW

Re: Many uBitx's have reduced power on 40m CW
This is an interesting report. I havent noticed it on my ubitx. I should ask HF SIgnals to loan me a standard issue ubitx and check it out. As many know, I am working on an SDR. I am using a modified

Re: S Meter max with Nextion and CEC V 1.2
I ordered some LM358 chips so we'll see what happens.

Re: Many uBitx's have reduced power on 40m CW
No complaints of distortion, just relatively low power out on 40m CW. The 40m SSB transmissions don't seem to be affected. The v5 and v6 are pretty much identical, except for the display and

Re: S Meter max with Nextion and CEC V 1.2
All the AGC schemes for the uBitx I've seen thus far have audio derived detection of the signal level. to create a control voltage, that control voltage is then used to attenuate the signal at some

Re: Many uBitx's have reduced power on 40m CW
Clay, Just to answer your question with at least one data point, my v6 power output has a dip in the CW portion of 40m. I always assumed it was because of LPF tolerances. Rafael PU1OWL

Re: Many uBitx's have reduced power on 40m CW
Just to clarify: Is the issue being discussed, some rigs showing low power output on 40m cw and/or distorted output on 40m cw, only occurring on v5 or previous, or is it also occurring on v6? Clay

Evan I am looking forward to your results with your v4, but indeed do enjoy the significant holiday with your family, no rush. I do think those with a pronounced dip are rare in v4. Look for Ashhar's

Re: S Meter max with Nextion and CEC V 1.2
You may have something there, Kobus. I wondered if the AGC operating back in the IF stages would limit things such that an S-meter reading audio level would always drop back to something lower,

Re: S Meter max with Nextion and CEC V 1.2
J, What you are measuring is the voltage needed to bias the RF input MOSFETs to keep a given signal at the audio volume control.? This will vary with signal strength so that an S9+10 signal should

Re: S Meter max with Nextion and CEC V 1.2
Just a thought. The audio level is tapped off from the output of the agc board. Meaning that the agc will be attuniating a signal over S9 therefore it tops off at S9. If you want to read the real
