Re: NX4832T035 issues
Hi Ross,
It's more likely that your SD card is incompatible with the Nextion display. While I was waiting for my Nextion 3.2E to get here I went to Walmart and bought a cheap 8GB SD card, when it got here, I tried to upload a file to the display and it gave me a similar error, so I used my old 16GB SanDisk card instead and it worked perfect. Both cards were formatted the same way and had the same file on them, but only the SanDisk card worked. Don't know why, I can use the cheap card on my Laptop with no problems, but the display didn't like it for some reason. Joel N6ALT |

NX4832T035 issues
Hi All:
I just received myNextion 3.2 basic today, I cannot get any files to upload with the with the SD card (formatted with fat32 one tft file) or the editor. The editor send a connect failed: forced interrupt error and the sd card error: Model does not Match?device model: NX48320T035_011R. Possible I am using the wrong version software? Not finding any with help with google. Any help is appreciated Thanks and 73 |

I see the 6dB pads on the 3 clock inputs from the Raduino had the series resistors changed from 10,10,10 ohms on V3 to 33,33,100 ohms on the V4.

Re: si5351 crosstalk

Howard,
I took the easy path and went back to a crystal oscillator.? The 5351 will only have one output active. I also did that for the uBitx when trying to uncover the source of the carrier leakage. 12mhz rock padded down to 11.9959 did the trick.? Could not blame the 5351 for that, it was board layout. Justin,
Who said the cross talk was propagated on the Vdd? Much of it is as likely on the ground and internal substrate ground. Allison |

Well... now ALL of them are sold.? ?Glad I counted them this morning in the car and they seem to all BE THERE.? ?I'll work on envelopes tomorrow morning and hopefully get them ALL in the mail.? ?
Then maybe order some more. As folks BUILD this little mod, can you indicate how you installed it,? what the problems or tricks you discovered?? ? i sure hope people can figure out how to do it --- be sure to use the correct relay because these relays DO SEEM TO BE POLARIZED --- Maybe pay some attention that your relays actuall do work when installed!? ?If you flip a relay to the other side of the board --- YOU CHANGED THE ORIENTATION of the voltage applied to the coil --- and as I discovered the hard way, doing it incorrectly means they won't operate!? ?? we could also feed the four Vdd inputs thru choke inductors too!?

Hi Raymond,
The best starting point probably would be to check the voltage on pin 2 (Blue wire) from the Raduino board to the key jack and make sure it goes to 5V when the key is open, to 0V when the key is closed.? You could trace that back to the pin A6 (marked pin 10 on the schematic) on the Nano board and check the voltages there. Some recent post have had issues with solder connections, such as bridges. I the case I remember seeing the issue was with the rotary encoder not working, but it points to some issues are cropping up with the boards. Also check the ground and Vcc voltages to the Raduino to make sure the power supply are proper. Tom, wb6b ? |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSo it¡¯s actually pretty easy.Go to the file section here, or to the github repository under my name, download the zip file which has all of the files necessary for the fabricator to create the printed circuit boards.
Go to and enter their process for getting a quote on 10 boards. ? The board size is 2.5 x 2.8¡°, and their website can Convert to millimeters. ?(or you can)
Select ?a two layer board, with white silk screen, and beyond that take all of the defaults. ? They will ask you for permission to change something to an alternate at their discretion, which is fine
At some point they will ask you to upload the file, and there you insert the zip file. ?
They will do just a little bit of analysis and then tell you that it has to be reviewed, which depending on the time of day in China, can happen within an hour or might take overnight.
If you check back, you will find it has been accepted, and then they will allow you to pay them using PayPal..??I would select DHL shipping, the total price for me in US dollars is $20 for 10 boards. ? That seems to be an extra special deal!
My boards arrive in just about a week.
It is pretty astounding.
If you have any problems, send me a screenshot and we can try to figure out

Those two pins are supposed to be shorted together on your Raduino. Though it is kind of confusing. Here's the schematic for the uBitx:? ?? Those two pins are pins 1 and 2 shown in the far upper right corner of the uBitx schematic. Pin 2 is used to send 12v from the uBitx main board off to the Raduino. Pin 1 is not connected to anything. Here is the schematic for the Raduino:?? What was pins 1 and 2 of the RADUINO1 connector in the uBitx schematic are now pins 16 and 15 of the P3 connector in the lower part of the Raduino schematic. That's unfortunate, it's much less confusing if a schematic set retains the same naming and numbering conventions. Those two pins send 12 volts into the LM7805 regulator, which creates the 5 volt supply for the Nano. So the uBitx main board only has 12 volts going into one of those pins, the other pin is not connected to anything. The Raduino board has both pins shorted together (as you have shown in your picture) and this gives 12v power to the Raduino. All is well. ? Jerry On Tue, Sep 11, 2018 at 10:59 AM, sdr freak wrote:

Is that the problem what makes my Ubitx running little false? When it is normaly and i don't have a problem with this then it's ok..but i think i should ask bescause i don't see this in the shematic diagramm like this.. I'm very thankfull to become answer for this! |

Re: si5351 crosstalk

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI just experimented with the
ClockBuilder Pro software. It does not like the SI5351 with 3
outputs and provides warnings under all conditions that I tested.
I tried everything I could think of. I switched to the 8 clock
output version, and using clocks 0, 2 and 4 it is happy. So my
recommendation would be to change to the SI5351ABGM. The clocks
should then be much cleaner.

Wow!!!? ?Looks like 21 of the 25 boards? have already sold in about 4-1/2 hours since I put up the ebay --- I expect I'll be able to mail all of those out tomorrow as I have a day off from work....then I'll see if I should order more.??
Hope this helps out people.? ?I'm going to try and keep some records so the IRS doesn't accuse me to hiding income..... Again, for any who are doing a LARGE project, the zipped Gerber files are available both in the FILES section here, and on github --- $20 gets you 10 boards from pcbway.? ? Cheaper than I can turn them around!? ?I have to go to 25 boards to get the cost per board down to roughly that same "introductory" pricing they have.?? Our ARES group is gearing up for the ARRL Simulated Emergency Test...I sure hope at some point I get the chance to actually sit down and fiddle with my uBitx soon....the matched filters arrived and now I need to order some of the binocular toroids....what a great group this is! ClockBuilder assumes you are using the si5351 to replace fixed oscillators.

Our vfo at clk2 has to operate continuously over a 30mhz range, you can't run ClockBuilder every time you twiddle the tuning knob. But ClockBuilder can give you some idea of the tricks that only SiLabs knows about for getting the cleanest possible clocks out.? Some are counter-intuitive.? What we have now is simple and almost good enough. Could be that with some $0.10 clock buffers it will be good enough. In addition to crosstalk and spurs, there's also phase noise. We might be able to bring that down by 50% with a minor software fix. In particular, use integer output divide mode on the clk2 vfo, driven from pllB using a fractional pll feedback divider.? Perhaps use an integer output divide on pllA for clk1, and a fractional output divide of pllA for clk0 for the bfo which is of the lowest frequency and thus the least critical.? Or add a second si5351 chip. Or move to an si5338 or s5340.? But nobody's complaining about phase noise yet.? The si5351 is likely far better than traditional analog vfo's for phase noise. Note that clock spurs are different than the spurs?everybody is talking about in this forum.? Particularly that 45mhz-Carrier spur, and spurs due to?coupling from power amp to IF amps. Nobody has complained about si5351 clock spurs yet. Somebody here was selling a raduino with an si5351c, has the 8 output pins with four? Vcco pins in a $10 QFN20 package. Called it something like the "whole lotta clocks raduino" Might be worth checking to see how that does on crosstalk between clocks. Though adding three $0.10 buffers would be cheaper if all you want is 3 clocks. I have heard that if only using two of the $1 si5351 MSOP10 clocks, best off to stick with clk0 and clk2.? Since clk1 is placed between the clk0 and clk2 in the physical die, we have minimum crosstalk if clk1 is held low.? So perhaps two si5351's, using clk0 and clk2 on each on for a total of four possible clocks? Can use pllA on clk0, pllB on clk2, both can have integer mode output dividers for minimum phase noise.
