More information: I followed the PA bias adjustment per HF Signals. Lower than specifications!
Receive current?= 150 mA
PTT pushed with both bias presets fully clockwise = 380 mA.? Should be higher

Unsolder your speaker leads, twist them tightly together and resolder
them to the speaker. See if that helps.
