KB1OIQ BITX40 / uBITX files now on Sourceforge
Hi Everybody, I have uploaded my Arduino sketch files, photos, videos, and documents describing modifications I've made to my BITX40 and uBITX QRP transceivers to Sourceforge:

Re: TDA2822 experiments and mods
That trace goes to the capacitor C76 and to TDA2822 only. The 12V line travels all around the board from back to raduino and to TDA I think! Raj

Re: The issues of the TDA2822
Jerry, No 386 for me, fed up with them over the years! All my b40 boards are making funny noises when the volume is low. When I got my hands on 2822s I never went back. I always used bridge and audio

Re: TDA2822 experiments and mods
Tim, I thought about it but the current seems enough for a decent volume and the TDA chip gets not too hot! The SMD strip is marked 78L09 and it is SOT-89. The copper shield plane is acting as a large

Re: Raduino oscilators. 33mhz and 57mhz " . Documentation says one thing, but this is what I measured.
Actually, I do not know if the 25mhz reference crystal oscillator is high or low. Only that the si5351 is low when adusted by the calibration factor? si5351_vco If this Raduino is was reprogrammed

If you have a 3D printer or a friend does check this out:?https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1205771 I printed one out the other night and that's what I'm going to use. I think you could drill two

Looks like perfectly normal behavior to me. You were going up in frequency through 10.0mhz and the rig switched from LSB (clk1=33mhz) to USB (clk1=57mhz). ? ? When turning the encoder knob slowly,

Re: Volume Control
Walter, I used a audio taper 10k pot. on my BITX40 with a standard 1/4" shaft and switch. works fine last long time? I just got my uBITX and i suppose it also uses the same pot. I sitting back a

And, just for info, the uBITX does think it is on 10.000 mhz. Exactly. It has no idea of the differences out there. It does not measure. wrote:

Sticking a probe on the Si5351 crystal will load it down and change the frequency. The proper way to do this would be to hack the sketch to set one of the clocks to 25.0 mhz and then measure that

Or are you agreeing that this is normal ? I think it is. wrote:

Jerry, I think you miss understood. I posted the hex file because I've used it before, but this raduino is a Farhan original with his code completely. What I'm saying is I think the description is

So, in that first instance, the rig is tuned to?54.98977-(32.99388+11.99624) =?9.999650 In the second instance, it is tuned to?54.99647-(56.99305-11.99624) =?9.999660 Since it flipped, we can

I had the same run in with Dex out of the blue! i made a English usage error. i guess typing in the middle of the night with a flashlight not wanting to wake the family is bound to cause a problem. I

That is a serial or parallel distribution switch. It takes a serial port output (6 to 20 wires), or a parallel port (usually 20 wires) and transfers it to 4 different receiving ports. The most common

The hex file works. But, its not in the raduino I measured. The raduino was programmed by Ashhar in India.

Re: Modifying Bitx40 BPF band pass filter
Quick update: I tried John's suggestion and changed R29 in 47 ohms. There were no voice stations but the CW stations became much more audible so it was a clear improvement. Still the audio level was

Re: uBitX - Replacement microphone
Look for an old sound card. Early ones had threaded ones much like their 1/4"/6mm brothers, later ones all-plastic board-mounted.
