Ashar, the link to the zip file containing the BITX40 circuit diagrams on the HFSignals site is broken.? The link points to the old HFSigs site so clicking on it results in file not found error.?

Thanks to Raj for his useful advice. I have just pulled the raduino out of my BITX40 and plugged it into the USB port on my PC and voila! everything lights up the way it should so neither the raduino

Any hardware using the DB25 parallel port on an X86/MicroSoft box is better done using GPIO pins if moving to the RasberryPi. Most of that sort of stuff has code that can only run on an X86/MicroSoft
