Re: Lost audio from receiver
I think you're right, probably blew the LM386. And nothing else. Clipping leads and just leaving them in place sounds fine, or could? heat them up and pull them out one by one using soldering iron

Re: Blown by nearby transceiver #bitx40help
From the photo, looks like a burned trace from C6 to L3. From the Bitx40 schematic it's hard to imagine how that might have happened. That node is isolated from other parts of the rig that might have

BITX 40 Shifting Frequincy while transmitting
I know there was several posts about cureing the shifting frequincy on the BITX 40 while transmitting but I can't locate them. Could someone kindly show me the information on how to lock the VFO in

Re: Bitx40 - receiver works great, but do not transmit #bitx40help
Since you do not have a watt meter, and you have a multimeter, you could build a rf probe. You can see the rf voltage and calculate the wattage. Here is a link to one you can build. It is very

Re: BITx 40 Frequency lock during transmit
I doubt there's a hardware fix that solves this, best to figure out how to load one of Allard's sketches: ? ??github.com/amunters/ The bitx40_raduino_v2 is more capable than the original bitx40

Lost audio from receiver
After some other testing on a BitX40 that was working well, it is likely that 12v (or even 24v) touched one of the speaker leads. Now I have essentially no audio out from the radio. On very strong

Alas, in my curiosity and inability to leave well enough alone, I came up with a brilliant plan to determine why I cannot get more power out at a higher PA voltage. Again, working on the suspicion
