Re: Import duty and VAT
Here in NZ I haven't had that (India Post delivery - was yours?). I'm wondering if there's a different protocol for Customs for Components rather than Kits. Anything BitX is, essentially, a collection

Re: Import duty and VAT
I assume you must have chosen DHL/UPS for shipping. If it had come via normal UK mail you most probably wouldn't have been charged. I've had three BITX kits now, all shipped through royal mail, and

Lets see. Searching vat only brought up 46 hits. I would have guessed more than 100. Leonard

Re: Home brew 5 band BitX
Sorry, I haven't really been following this thread ... have you removed C91 and C92 (I presume you're using a DDS of some sort (the Raduino's SI5351?) via the DDS connector, so those are not needed (I

Re: Antenna Analyzer problems.
Thanks, the BOM that I have, from Farrukh, specifies 1% metal film 1/8th watt. I am paralleling 1/4th watt 100 ohms carbon films. Checked all I had and the closest I could get to 51 ohms, with 3

Hi. I do not have a BITX but have been following most of the discussions on the group from time to time. I have seen a number of posts on the LM383 oscillating when the volume control is set to

Re: Home brew 5 band BitX
I'm not well versed in RF engineering, but I did some testing to try to understand power output of the bitx40v3 PA. I installed my 20M LPF, and bypassed the BPF so I'd get output on all frequencies.

Re: Problems compiling latest software
I don't know much about Arduino libraries, but look like you don't have the PinChangeInterrupt library installed correctly. A quick solution would be to try an earlier version of Allard's code prior

Re: Where to Start?
I put a small 10uF/16V electrolytic from 7 to 4 (Gnd), another across C113. And a big change when I got a Big 4" 16 Ohm speaker.? This made me very happy with the audio! Mike, WA6ISP 3/2017 9:00 AM,

Re: BITX QSO Night, Sunday, November 12, 7pm Local Time, 7277 kHz in North America, 7177 kHz elsewhere
I assume you have a good stiff 12v supply. If the VFO is jumping around, you might be missing the 0.1uF cap from tuning pot wiper pin to ground. Best is one cap at the pot and another at the raduino

My points were Cost and Compatibility. RasPi enthusiasts of reasonably long standing will have the early models lying idle, and they could be profitably used here. They have sufficient of everything

Re: Antenna Analyzer problems.
I would measure each of the candidate resistors with an ohm meter first. Since the resistors have a tolerance value, some may be very close to 50 ohms. For General purpose use, I would think that

50 ohms resistors should make it even more accurate, but I think you will not notice the difference. The diode bridge will not measure swr values of 1.1 the diode's do not het enough voltage to
