Re: BITX40 Microphone options
Michael, I have had good results with an aviation headset with a 2.2k resistor in series with the mic. I think all of the hard wired ones, i.e., not Bluetooth, have electret mics. The nice thing is

Re: Raduino v1.10 with CW functionality released
I may be way off, but just for grins, I would check the pot wiring. Ten turn pots normally have the wiper the most rearward pin as opposed to the center like normal pots. v/r Fred W4JLE Sent:

Re: Raduino_v1.11 released
Although the problem is not fixed yet, we can conclude that it's not a software issue. Funny, I had exactly the opposite problem, initially. Sidetone was cut down during first second, after one

Re: Raduino_v1.11 released
If the speaker is connected only to Raduino, audio/sidetone is fine, no problem. I also disconnected the audio AGC but the behavior is the same, audio is cutted down. 73'Adi

Re: BITX QSO Night, Sunday, May 14, 9pm Local Time, 7.179 MHz
Great idea. I've called CQ on the last 3 Sunday 9pm slots. I can hear very faint dx but nothing strong enough to copy. The nearby adjacent stations others experienced do seem to overpower us a

Re: Raduino_v1.11 released
Just for trouble-shooting: What happens when you temporarily disconnect the speaker from the BITX40 output? (so that the speaker is only connected to the Raduino output via the 1K resistor)? 73

Re: Raduino_v1.11 released
Hi Adi, If I understand correctly, the problem is only with the sidetone, not with the actual transmitted CW signal, right? Did you do any modifications to the AF amplifier? Or is it still

Re: Raduino_v1.11 released
Forgot to add that on external receiver there is carrier despite the fact that sidetone can't be heard on Bitx. (Tx without monitor). Adi

Re: Raduino_v1.11 released
Hi Allard, I updated to ver. 1.11 and I have a problem on CW. When I press the key (straight key), there is sidetone but only for about 2 seconds, then it disappear, and there is no audio at all. Back

Request for comments:? Is 9 pm a convenient time? Is 9pm a time that is good for band conditions? Is there a better frequency that you would recommend?

I heard absolutely nothing around Northern NJ. Tried calling for a little while on 7.178 but no answers. Listened to 7.179 and heard no one. It seemed like the band had no activity besides some CW
