Fast tuning buttons
I have seen some front Bitx panels with buttons. Not sure if they are fast tune momentary switches or not, but after destroying a 10 turn Bourns 10k, linear pot by my miswire error, I thought 2

doTuning Code Question
In doTuning where the pot hits the low stop,
??? baseTune = baseTune - 10000l;
??? frequency = baseTune;
This makes sense, drop the center of the tuning range by 10KHz.
Where the pot hits

Re: Let the fun begin
I just got notified my Bitx40 was shipped, looks like 2 weeks more.
I have no antenna at my present resting spot, so I have to work on that first!

Re: Raduino behavior
I guess what this comes down to is as follows: ?Most of the pot has a linear response as it does now. ?The two ends trigger an indicator of some sort, and then a delay before fast scroll occurs.

Re: The harmonics are out to play
I moved my VFO to 19MHz a couple weeks ago and have had none of that nasty SW broadcast interference since. Of course you have to move your BFO to the other side of the filter. That was no problem

Re: Tuning clicks
My Bitx-40 has loud clicks as I tune and I haven't been able to eliminate them. ?However, I would characterize them as "ch" sounds rather than clicks. ?I've looked with my scope at the two I2C lines

Re: Raduino behavior
Agreed. ?And there should be some indication of when you move off the linear region of the pot and into auto-scroll mode with enough advance warning that you can avoid scrolling. ?I'd prefer an

Re: Raduino behavior
Keep in mind that delay() cannot process any interrupts while it's doing its thing. For most people, it's not an issue unless you are using external interrupts in your code. Since I use a rotary

Re: The harmonics are out to play
Unfortunately the images he's getting are in the 40m amateur band. ?They cross over at 7.2 mhz, so if you tune into a LSB station at 7.2 mhz you will also be receiving it as a USB station through the

Re: Raduino behavior
The "auto-scroll" or "auto-step" rate is set in the Raduino sketch to one 10 KHz step every 200 ms which is a little too fast for me. I downloaded the sketch from?https://github.com/afarhan/bitx40 (

Re: The harmonics are out to play
Raj: How about an EXTERNAL filter? If that's the only station troubling you then you could trap it out. A bandpass filter for just the 40m amateur band would clean up your signal even further and

Re: The harmonics are out to play
A DDS is decent enough, though will have some spurs that the Si5351's PLL's square wave would not have. ?Both are based on a crystal reference oscillator, so plenty stable to run at 19mhz where Raj's

That is a feature.
When you reach either end it auto scrolls. It takes time to get use to.

Re: MAR-3SM+ and new display/VFO board coming
The sales surprised us; they sold out in 2 days! More boards are on the way.
Keep us posted on your build. Also, if there's any "fuzzy parts" in the assembly manual, let me know.
