Re: Raduino for bfo?
Yes I have, removed the 12mhz crystal, tapped the signal onto the emitter of q11 from one of the two extra outputs on the raduino. ?Took a while of trial and error to get it's output near the correct

Re: Bitx40 another Raduino(?) problem
Hi Jerry, I just tried that on Adafruit's 5351 module, and yes, you can see the 25 MHz. I was looking at the output of 5351 with one channel set to 10 MHz an triggering there. Output was 3.something

Raduino
Do I need to have the LCD connected to the Raduino when I am connecting to the computer?

Re: Raduino for bfo?
As far as wiring it up, I'd use the uBitx example: ?http://www.phonestack.com/farhan/ubitx/ubitx.html ( http://www.phonestack.com/farhan/ubitx/ubitx.html ) What do you mean by "less sensitive". ?On

Raduino for bfo?
Anyone modify their bitx to use the raduino for the bfo? If so any specifics on how to connect the output to the board? My goal is to be able to flip between USB/LSB in code. The current code that

The Rigol is showing 909.1 Khz not Mhz ?so more like .909 mHz.

Re: BITX40 Raduino Output
This is perhaps the fourth time we've had an Si5351 come up at something like 1mhz instead of 4.8mhz. ?My best guess is that that 25mhz reference crystal near the Si5351 has failed and needs to be

Re: BITX40 Raduino Output
I would suggest you reload the sketch. You are seeing feedthrough from the 900 MHz that the 25 MHz is multiplied to for the frequency dividers. v/r Fred W4JLE Sent: Tuesday, March 14, 2017

BITX40 Raduino Output
Not sure if I'm measuring the output of the DDS correctly or not. ?I'm measuring the brown wire that's connected to the Raduino's red wire and I'm showing a crusty 909.1 kHz signal. ?My BITX40 has

Re: The harmonics are out to play
I'm glad I am not alone!? The move to 19MHz vfo sounds good but my 12MHz xtal filter has a very gentle slope on the LF side so moving the carrier oscilator down 3kHz to output USB from the balanced

Re: Enabling USB via tuning knob
Hi Andrew, Thanks a lot for this post. It really helped me a lot to get started and I am now using your code. Did you figure out how to handle the offset? I used the arduino-1.8.1 IDE and made a

Re: Tuning clicks
I had severe tuning clicks too and tried all of the countermeasures as recommended in other threads, but nothing really helped. In the end I placed a 1000 uF capacitor straight to the raduino

Re: Fast tuning buttons
Evidently, there are two types of "fast tune" out there. The raduino uses the end-stops of the pot to fast tune in a given direction. My version of Fast Tune uses a rotary encoder and interrupts to

Re: doTuning Code Question
Ah yes Jerry you're right. I was too quick. When I remove the 50 kHz it seems to work ok while you are at the end of the pot. But when your return back to the linear region then suddenly the frequency

Re: doTuning Code Question
Hmm, this is indeed strange. I also cannot see any rationale for the extra 50kHz, only when we are at the high end of the pot. Anybody? I just tried and removed the 50kHz from my sketch and
