Re: Ubitx version 6 encoder
I also have some bitx 40s that have a ten turn pot with a turns counting dial that locks. My ubitx v6 that I picked up recently I just loaded with the N8ME? software. It is better but I am going to

Re: I half-broke transmit somehow
Sounds like a broken connection problem. A wire somewhere.

I half-broke transmit somehow
Two days ago my sBitx (v3) worked fine, but today fldigi and wsjtx won't key the radio. The dit paddle on my iambic key does transmit, but the dah paddle does not. sBitx native FT8 transmits okay. I

Re: Using PI-5 with Sbitx-V3
Hello!
I don't really want to reopen the discussion we had earlier this week in this very thread. But some people (me included) cannot join Discord because Discord, among other things, simply does

Oh, is that what that little thingamajiggy is! The tooltip is "Tx level attenuator (dB)".
Issue is half solved. Thank you, Gordon. Now I just need to find the equivalent doodad in wsjtx, rather than

Andi,
Pictures of my setup are on the sbit discord in the pi5 and touch display 2 sections. ?Details of the display installation are on the 64 bit wiki.

Re: power levels
Bottom of FLDGI. Sort of near the right.
It’s in the slide that I previously referred you to. The version on the sbitx looks very similar.

Re: power levels
No? Can you be more specific? A modulation level control in the sBitx interface, flgidi, or wsjt-x? In a setup menu?

Re: power levels
My issue being that on my sBitx, wsjtx, and fldigi as shipped, when I set DRIVE to get 10 W on CW, I get 1.7 W out on Olivia and ~0.2 W on WSPR. I am assuming that something is wonky in the ALSA mixer

Re: power levels
Thanks, Ryan!
I went to this youtube and learned how to use the built-in FLDGI on the sBitx -- it was EASY: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uC8EpR1l6tc
My CW output power was about 30+ watts on my

Re: Careful with BNC-to-SO239 adapters
May be SO239 connectors on the sBitx would solve the issue? I would definitely buy the sBitx version with PL connector if it existed. I already had problems with adapters and it was painful until

Hi!
This sounds great - can you please tell how you mounted the Touch Display 2 since it is not of the exact same size. How does this work?

N0YWB:
Are you very sure there is a standard for the difference in pin diameter between the 50 and 75 ohm versions?
If you notice, there can be a difference in the dielectric as part of their efforts

Re: Careful with BNC-to-SO239 adapters
50 or 75 ohm variant BNC connectors my be used on the adapters you buy from ebay, AliExpress or Temu.

Re: Careful with BNC-to-SO239 adapters
Another issue to beware of:? BNC (and N) connectors have 50 ohm and 75 ohm variation.
The shell dimensions are the same, but the 75 ohm center pin is thinner.
To help distinguish them in the dark,

Concerning the software, sorry, forgot to add, yes, the bootloader configuration might be a little bit different as you'll not want to have the sbitx RTC in the bit-banged i2c enabled (can just remove

Re: Using PI-5 with Sbitx-V3
Hi Dave,
The Pi 5 is better in all terms. I used (and still use) many Pi 4 in many sbitxs. The only issue to be aware is the power consumption, as the voltage regulator in the sBitx gets to the limit

Re: Is there a print-able user manual that shares the new sBitx V4 features somewhere?
Hi Ragav,
A very nice piece of work!! I think a lot of us appreciate this in the 开云体育, but what would be a benefit is to have this in the WiKi, and if this could be mentioned on the HF signals
