Re: any hints on replacing V2 board with V3 ????
Hey Bill, One other thing I forgot to mention, you will have to move your Raspberry Pi over from the V2 board to the V3 board but that's easy, just four screws, also make sure to install the SD card

Re: any hints on replacing V2 board with V3 ????
Hi Bill, To answer your question, just take the V2 board out and install the V3 board in it's place. They are basically identical boards, the V3 board having IRF510s for finals instead of the

Re: Reverse polarity protection on the sBitx? #sBitx #sBITX_v3
Gyula, good catch! I do have XT65s, I've just labeled them incorrectly in the schematic. But you are right in that I have them flipped, that's a quick fix.

expecting a board ( to get current ) ..... got tired of having to pay attention to all the conversations on mods.... guess I'm 50% appliance operator & DXer. so you have any hints? , should be

Re: UHF SBIT
It would be interesting to incorporate a small UHF antenna directly into the sBitx, when and if it will support the band. With a dedicated antenna socket, it could offer "off band" communications to

Well, you just need four contacts, but I see your point.

Re: Reverse polarity protection on the sBitx? #sBitx #sBITX_v3
Jeff, I know this connector as XT60, but that's a minor problem. The bigger one is that there is a 10A fuse at the input that connects to the radio, while it can be seen on the opposite side in the

Re: Reverse polarity protection on the sBitx? #sBitx #sBITX_v3
So here's the latest. My thought is that this would more or less replace the existing plug on the radio. Can't really do that inside the radio without a lot of effort. Here you would just plug in

Minus seven for the pre-release QC fail.? The page lives in an open tab. I'll add that the more about amplifiers I understand, the more fun they're becoming. Fun is good! 73

Terminations as farhan says is important! Also Rf (feedback resistors) vs bias... Sometimes that resistor can be juggled to be the bias value.? Often its too low for that so series resistance

Re: A long long video on building feedback amplifiers
Andy, It is a pleasant surprise that you sat through it all! These amplifiers need 'strong' terminations at both ends. If two amps cascade, this is usually lost. A trick is to add a 6dB attenuator

Farhan - it's still an excellent video and calculator - thank you! Are there any rules of thumb about selecting the isolation resistor for the power input? I've seen from 10 to 220 Ohms. Is it
