Re: Front Panel Stereo Socket Board Wiring Layout
If one has working MICs meant for other rigs that he uses, we can by a similar connector and wire accordingly . It helps sharing the? same mic for ubitx. regards sarma vu3zmv On Sat, Aug 4, 2018 at 8:08 AM, R. E. Klaus via Groups.Io <reklaus@...> wrote: There really is no "standard" for wiring mic connectors. Al Peter, AC8GY, who has a lot more assembly skill than I do, made this mic for me using the stock element and switch: The case is one of those promo pens that had a small LED and battery in it. It really looks nice and is small enough to pack anywhere. Jack, W8TEE

First SMD project? OK, then note: to remove a resistor, heat both ends (blob the whole item!) and swipe away from pads to open area (works for smd caps, diodes, transistors too, so long as you don't keep the heat on longer than necessary. ICs really need heat-gun tools.). Repair your faux-pas by finding where those missing pads' traces lead - and to other component pads - and drape an ordinary resistor between. It won't be the prettiest, but it'll work. The component may even stick to the iron tip - if removed from there quickly it most likely will still be OK - a tissue for the job will help you keep track of it.

Re: 12MHz xtals and QER Filter
Rahul,
Parallel caps also offer lower ESR best is the values are near the same but it helps. The biggest is crystals ground for series resonance vs parallel.? IT seems to get me a lower ESR and Lm. When I'm doing a lattice or half lattice filter I look for both parallel and series as the? mode difference for a given frequency tends to work in favor for that. My preferred frequency for filters are under 10mhz with 9.6, 9 and 8 being most common but other like 5, 5.0688 have been done.? There is less drift with temperature. I know that from doing a wider than SSB roofing filter at 36mhz,? it had to be or heated! Allison |

I have plenty of Pop Fix boards left if you want another 2 kits ......still 2 for $5 mailed. Just no more AGC kits.

Good Afternoon All;
Just managed to accidently pull both ends of R5 pads off on pop-fix board. Is there any kluge that would work with a 10K TH resister. This is my very first smd project and I lost the smd resister and was trying to replace with a TH resister. ?Many thanks for any replies. Dana |
Re: End Fed antennas w/ uBITX

The feature that is desired of ferrties and iron power for transformers is coupling as
close as possible to 1.? Very hard to get that with air cores. However by building them as transmission line transformers (Guanella) its possible to do that with excellent coupling factors. Allison |

More than a different cut... the 49S? nb S has a beam hogging mode of oscillation and the HC49U (13mm h) has a diaphragm mode. I thin we both speak Anglisky but?
there is a slight confusion here on the size designators : and the industry she don't help none : See?https://www.golledge.com/products/hc49-leaded-crystal-with-industry-standard-package/c-26/p-239 |
Re: New "ANTENNAS" group has been formed.
There's some well established forums out there regarding antennas.

Might be best to just decamp to one of those for things Maxwellian. I haven't looked them over much, any suggestions of which? Perhaps a better solution than creating yet another forum. Some aspects of the EFHW are contentious, and not just here. But an established antenna forum would have hashed it all out long long ago, and likely have an FAQ about it. So they don't have to deal with doing it?again every couple months. Jerry On Fri, Aug 3, 2018 at 01:16 PM, Michael Monteith wrote:
