Re: What is the actual status of the sBitx V2
I decided against trying Loctite, Raj. Mainly because the classic method of persuading Loctite to loosen its grip is to apply localised heat. I don't know just how hot the heatsink might get but that

New uBitx V6 build using TSW software
Started a new uBitx V6 build using Triumvirate Skonk Worx’s (TSW) new software. I think they have a good plan using two pins to handle dots and dashes instead of 1 pin with various voltage

Re: sbitx v2 dial lock
No, I just saw your post and thought I'd jump in and say Hi and show how the encoder pin look. I meant to say RP pins, but didn't out of habit.

Re: sbitx v2 dial lock
Hello Jack,
Good to hear from you again. I am not sure what you are referring though, as I don't have anything that currently uses a Teensy. On the sBitx, I assume the switch on the main tuning

Re: sbitx v2 dial lock
I agree, the function encoder might be a better choice. Something else I would like to see, is the function encoder after say 10 seconds return to the it's primary function as the AF gain or some user

After running the new boost converter I got from Amazon with the 4.7uH inductor on it for the last three weeks I have noticed a lot of wide band interference on most bands that wasn't there before

Re: sbitx v2 dial lock
Hi Joel:
Long time, no see!
You are right. At the moment, the encoder switch (if present) is unused. There's a very profound reason the encoders don't have switches: It what I had on hand at the

Re: sbitx v2 dial lock
It might be better to have a long press on the function encoder to lock the
entire screen. This will be better as you will not accidentally slip the
tuning knob while pressing the button.

Re: sbitx v2 dial lock
The switch on the main tuning encoder doesn't seem to have any function assigned to it, perhaps a long press of that would work, leaving the short press for something else.

Maybe a press and hold turning knob to lock/unlock the VFO.

Re: What is the actual status of the sBitx V2
Raj,
The loose clamping is a mere hypothesis. We haven't ascertained it yet. We
can look at some heat resistant epoxy if it proves to be the case.
It is an oddity if open design that you tend to only
