Re: Bitx-40 net? #bitx40
Thanks!? I can't do CW, due to strange neurological issues (I can copy 20 wpm one minute, then can't copy 5 for the next hour... unpredictable and definitely medical).? I could set up a computer

If there is anybody thinking of ordering some boards I am in. Haven't done this before or would have ordered a set (how do I figure out number of layer and physical size, number of layers and board

Re: Bitx-40 net? #bitx40
I know what you mean. I tried for the 40 m net this evening (7277 kHz at 0000 UTC) and heard a couple of fellows, but very weakly. Less than 30% copy at my QTH. I think one was a W4 and I think I

I worked a commercial 100 watt rig last night for several hours. I made maybe 20 contacts. Granted it was 20 and night time, but with several grand worth of equipment I didn¡¯t do any better. KF4FTR

Re: #v5 finally got my V5 together and working, PA bias question #v5 #ubitx #pabias
Hi Dennis, The manufacturer has a page for setting the PA bias; I would go by that recommendation for sure: ubitx tuneup ( http://www.hfsignals.com/index.php/ubitx-tuneup/ ) The instructions call for

Re: Bitx-40 net? #bitx40
Just looked a my wife's log book N0BEX. She managed 12 digital contacts with her v3 ubitx.. We worked alternately over a 4 hour period.

Re: Bitx-40 net? #bitx40
I managed 6 field day contacts working a couple of hours over two days. Running ubitxv3. All on 40 meters. I don't make time for contests more than short time working and I get bored. Just a few

I would answer if I were on and heard you clear enough. Except for contests. I am not into contests, though I was into WAS for a while. I did work some 6 SSB for a while after I moved here. Antenna

Re: New UBitx v5 Cannot Tune in Signals on Field Day + Lots of Birdies
Jerry, to start with the xtal filters have different center frequencies so no you can¡¯t switch the two Raduinos and expect it to work. It sounds like you will need to adjust your BFO frequency. So

I had the same problem, no one answering my calls, then I tried on a Contest day--yep, they answered then. Check the contest pages in QST mag and find one close to you.

Bitx-40 net? #bitx40
I've been trying off and on for over a year to make a contact with my "new" bitx40, and the closest I came was today... I tried to jump in on field day (I'd forgotten about it until nearly 2 today)

Re: #v5 finally got my V5 together and working, PA bias question #v5 #ubitx #pabias
I had read somewhere that when adjusting the pa bias on the ubitx you did not want to draw more than one amp when measured between transceiver and the power supply. I have been trying to measure base

Did you do the following from hfsignals? "?BITX Tuneup The ?BITX comes pre-aligned. You should do this only if you really think it is out of alignment. There are three things to be tuned up. *1. PA

I think there is some confusion here. some are confusing the draw of the final or finals with total draw of the whole unit in TX mode. Wayne WA2YNE <http://www.phonestack.com/farhan/bitx.html>
