Re: ubitx 40 Connecdtion
Bob, I think you have it figured out. The 5 pin cable goes on the end of the 16 pin connector that's nearest the 7805 regulator. They only build one version of the raduino, one that plugs into a

Re: ubitx 40 Connecdtion
Just got the BITX40 today. I had the uBitx before and sold it to a man who wanted to run digital. It was a dream to put together, no problem whatsoever. But the picture on the wire-up page for the

Re: New ubitx CW not transmitting
Thank you Steve. Setting keyer to "hand key" did the trick. Good that I did that before trying to rewrite the code. Bob W7HNV

ubitx 40 Connecdtion
Got a new uBitx 40 and have a question about connecting it up. Connecting up the Raduino, it says to plug in the 5-pin connector. I see the 8-pin connector so no problem. But no 5-pin connector. Does

Re: Need Help Troubleshooting UBit-X #ubitx-help
Andy See if you have sidetone when using cw. If you don't have a key, you still need that external 4.7k resistor anyway. Then put a short across the key input to listen for sidetone audio. If none,

Re: atenuator
Yes, attenuates signals on receive by positioning them on the skirt of the 45mhz crystal filter. Might also be used for SSB transmit ALC if you are into that. Idea originated with VK2ETA ?

Re: atenuator
No not for calibration. It is to attenuate strong signals. I get a lot of powerful stations that saturate the audio Thanks for agreeing with me Evan.

Re: atenuator
Yes Evan, That is what I too observed. I wonder whether it has some thing to do with Calibration?

Re: atenuator
The attenuator varies from 0-254 If you switch over to the nextion display it becomes a slider on the main screen. Too loud just slide it to the right. Beats digging through the menus.
