Re: No PTT
Hi Geoff,
I just realised that you can't use the push button either so you won;t be able to access the voltage monitor, so forget the last point about the other software.
One think I find strange is

Re: No PTT
Hello Geoff,
So I would say the 5V is fine, your Arduino is working as what is on the display is coherent and at least a set of digital output are working (as they drive the display).
From what you

Re: No PTT
Do you have the 4.7K on the key line soldered properly?
Worst case you will need to replace the NANO. If you are experienced fine otherwise take some
help so as to not damage the raduino board when

The oleds can have a very high rf interference depending upon how you mount
them. They are a current hog too.. Go into this carefully.

Re: No PTT
I should also say that the display lights up, saying "VFO A? 7.150 MHz, it will not tune, although the encoder shows 5-0-5-0-5-0 at the pins as it is turned. Pressing the knob 'in' does nothing.?

Re: Poor Man's Panadapter?
Fabulous work,
Now, do two more things :
1. Using a volume control in the front end, measure the resistance at
various settings and read out the readings on the analog port.
2. Using this as a chart,

Any stray adapters left? Discovered a couple of spare boards in need of the dds variety that seems to have become unobtainium.

Dave that¡¯s a great idea with the fan powered on only when in transmit I might do the same thing here. I¡¯ve got a few very small fans here salvaged from somewhere and they are quiet too.

You are correct.
However, they've already been freed up.
The stock Raduino has 4 data bits to the LCD.

Re: Protoneer Nano-Arm

I was under the impression that the existing 2x16 LCDs could be used in 4 bit mode or 8 bit mode which would free up 4 pins.
Many alternatives ....OLED displays with IIC interfaces, etc etc.....but

Re: Poor Man's Panadapter?
Very Nice,
Curious if you are using DSP on the Teensy 3.2? Kinetis K20 Arm4 core, or using the SGTL5000 Codec for processing.? I hear great things about the Teensy DSP Audio library, but from what I

Re: Protoneer Nano-Arm

The problem with remaining pin compatible with the Nano is that there aren't enough of them.
Maybe stick that si5351 on the main uBitx board where it belongs using a
little itty bitty board glued to

Gary,
I agree that none of the others are even close to matching the Nano pinout .....except for the Protoneer. And saving an interposer board would be great. Boards are in the mail .....I think.
