Re: FLDIGI PTT circuit
Try connecting the circuits common ground to an earth ground, like the AC outlets ground screw. Or chassis ground if it's in a BITX metal enclosure, and the grounded antenna is connected. I am working

Re: FLDIGI PTT circuit
I know I have that right because I'm using a BS170 instead of a 2N7000 so I had to pay attention the the drain and source pins. The other think I've noticed is that it seems to behave differently

Can anyone help me figure out why this circuit doesn't work reliably with the BITX40? http://www.w1hkj.com/FldigiHelp-3.21/html/w5zit_rt_channel_page.html (

Paul ZS2OE Best way to answer this question might be to enter the circuit in question into a spice simulator and run the simulation with Monte-Carlo variation on each value. This will tell you just

Capacitor values and tolerances
Hi folks I'm busy with the PA part of of Sunil's Bitx20 Ver 3 and have a question about measured cap values. The 100 and 220pf NPO's are the ones in question. Measured values for the 220p's for

Re: New BITX40 out the box and up and running ?
I had a hard time using the function menu but I think it's cause I was just taping wire to ground and didn't put a button on my it. The calibration Line was easier to use when just touching wires to

Re: Raduino question
Looks to have been a false alarm. I just fired up the service monitor and tuned it to the freq I was currently listening to on the BitX. Zero beat. Tried again at 7.0000 and once again, zero beat.

Re: Conflicting information
Great. Glad to hear it. Must be difficult or expensive to get a cable where you are, to be motivated to find a work around. Never heard of a USB cable like that. Was it plugged into a un-powered USB

BFO is generally around 11.9985, so for 7.0000 mhz on the display the VFO should be emitting 4.9985 mhz. The 25mhz reference crystal on the Raduino is probably spec'd at +/- 100 ppm (parts per
