Re: Video on ND6T's Shuttle DDS Tuning
What's the difference between this method of tuning and that of the Raduino? It appears to be the same only with a voltage readout. Joel KB6QVI

Re: Idea for future versions of BITX
Ok, there also are good arguments for separating the VFO from main board. For me this also wasn't the mayor point. Compared to this, later use of easy pluggable BPF and LPF filters would be of higher

Yes there is a link, and if you scroll down you will see the video referenced. Typical for a blogspot is that there will be new articles posted. http://bitxhacks.blogspot.com Verzonden: 14 January,

Re: Idea for future versions of BITX
Changing the processor to something like a Teensy would allow for more digital modes to be added.? As it stands, CW is about all the Arduino is able to decode.? For something like PSK-31 more clock

Re: Idea for future versions of BITX
Putting an Si5351 down does not make it inflexible, it can always be disabled (like that analog VFO). ?The SoftRock guys have an Si570 on some of their boards, but they took great pains to keep out

Re: Idea for future versions of BITX
I am not so sure that this is a good idea. If one reads the comments about the various DDS units, a common problem area is controlling the noise. Putting the DDS on the same board as the rest of the

Re: High voltage and higher power output - what heat sink are you using?
If you "remote" the 510 by adding even a small amount of wire you run the risk of turning that amplifier into a big ugly oscillator (been there, done that!). One of the reasons the BITX 40 amp is so

Re: High voltage and higher power output - what heat sink are you using?
What I have done with other projects is to mount the output transistor remotely.. ?This allows for easy use of the case itself as a heat sink, as well as makes it easier to use "junk box" heat sinks
